Psycho
On WTOP/Washington Post radio, and in the ward 3 forum debates last night August 4, 2006, Washington Post columnist Elissa Silverman who was also at one time Loose Lips for the Washington City Paper said, "There is no real front runner in the ward 3 city council race, and anyone of the 9 candidates could surprises us and pull it off". I believe all of the ward 3 candidates except Goulet and Rees are out of touch with voters. Taxes, not our schools are the number one issue in ward 3! Why? Only 13% of all ward 3 voters have children in school and only half of the have them in a public school. The other 87% of the voters do not care about our schools but are more concerned about the crippling tax levels and badly seek relief. Only Goulet and Rees have offered in their platforms plans for such relief and that will resonnate with more voters than the school issue is. The school issue is a joke and being promoted by politically correct nutjobs from the left-wing of the DC Democratic Party but Goulet and Rees feel that if you cannot afford your rent or food on your table, then who cares about schools.
