Guest Dr. J. Alva Scruggs
Governor Jeb Bush says that the he will not seek the presidency in 2008 while the Rove, Bush Republican machine is busy conditioning the voters mind that he is a very popular elected official and is needed in the White House!! (Tim Padgett, First Brother: Is There a Second Act for Jeb Bush?, TIMEON Line, Tallahassee, July, 2006) The frequent reports by the so called “Traditional Media” write that Jeb Bush is the most loved governor ever in Florida and the most successful is nothing more than a well planned propaganda scheme to condition the voters to subliminally want him is president. It is questionable that any sane Florida Voter feels that Jeb Bush has been a successful governor and even more insane to conclude that he is loved for his administration as Florida Governor. Let us list some of the most eye-catching attention getting issues in his administration. .(Daniel Owen , Jeb Bush - Apparently he might not have been that good anyway, Oval Office 2008) First, here is a brief list of the most grievous scandals in his admin. (Scandal adds to list of ethics problems among Bush hires , Associated Press .June 15, 2006 ) In election year 2000 Jeb’s then Secretary of State, Kathleen Harris aided and abetted the questionable processes in an “Stolen Election.” (TAMPA, Fla. (AP), Kathleen Harris caught in fallout from bribery scandal, 3/3/2006) Governor Jeb Bush was caught by TV cameras telling two Black Florida Legislators to, “get their (your) Black asses out of his (my) office!!” In 1999, Department of Business and Professional Regulations Secretary Cynthia Henderson said "I didn't use my best judgment" after taking an Outback Steakhouse corporate jet to the Kentucky Derby. She was in charge of regulating restaurants, among other businesses. -- In 2001, The head of the State Technology Office, Roy Cales, resigned after he was arrested and charged with grand theft. Authorities said he forged a letter to secure a $36,600 bank loan on which he later defaulted. The original document, however, was missing and a jury acquitted Cales -- In 2003, investigators found former Lottery Secretary David Griffin broke ethics codes by accepting gifts of food from companies doing business with the department. Griffin had already left the position before the investigation began. -- In 2003, investigators found former Lottery Secretary David Griffin broke ethics codes by accepting gifts of food from companies doing business with the department. Griffin had already left the position before the investigation began. In 2004, Department of Children & Families Secretary Jerry Regier resigned after an investigation showed he took favors from contractors. Jeb Bush invested and lost $350 million dollars of “The Florida Retirement funds by ”Kenney ‘Boy’ Lay” through ENRON. There has never been a action or comment concerning this “God Old Boy” mis use of State Funds! (KRISTEN HAYS, Enron Founder Ken Lay Dies at 64, AP, HOUSTON, July 5, 2006) In 2005, Bush fired Elder Affairs Secretary Terry White after a sexual harassment allegations were made against him. In April, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Commissioner Guy Tunnell resigned after accusations that he mishandled the investigation into a death at a juvenile boot camp he created when he served as Bay County sheriff. He was criticized for e-mails he exchanged with the current sheriff about the investigation. And while not illegal, it was highly unethical that two former department heads raised eyebrows when they resigned to take jobs with companies they contracted with or regulated. Former State Technology Office head Kim Bahrami went to work for BearingPoint, a company she awarded a controversial $126 million contract. The Former Department of Environmental Protection Secretary David Struhs took a job with International Paper Co. As the department head, Struhs put together a government-financed project designed largely to help bring the company's Pensacola area mill into compliance with pollution standards it had been violating for years. Jeb Bush abandoned “Affirmative Action” which resulted in significantly reducing the number of minority students being enrolled in the Florida University system. In 2004, Governor Jeb Bush “hand picked” (The St. Petersburg Times, 2004) the interim president on Florida A. and M. University which has resulted in the university being in danger of dissolution because of the “chain Saw” administrative actions of this Interim President. Finally, there is no way for any republican to loose the Presidential Election in 2008 without election reform. (Andrew Gumbel, How to Steal an Election, AlterNet, February 15, 2006). The flawed election procedures and processes are compounded by the use of proven flawed electronic voting equipment which have no hard copy print out to perform recounts or verifications, being supplied by the “Dibold Corporation” (BILL KACZOR, Elections supervisor: Some Diebold voting machines can be hacked , Associated Press, TALLAHASSEE, Fla. 2006) to seventy percent of states. Jeb Bush or any Republican can win an election even if they were running against Jesus Christ himself!!! It may seen peculiar to notice that Democrats are not vigorously pushing for election reform either. They may be just as prone to use this flawed voting system as republicans. Dr. J. Guest human_*
Well!!! If he runs? He will get the Latino vote. Relax, in any case your side showed its true intentions with the White House Hotel "remember that?” I also agree that the next Presidential race will be that both sides will probably pick a Governor, or Ex-Governor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Governor Jeb Bush says that the he will not seek the presidency in 2008 while the Rove, Bush Republican machine is busy conditioning the voters mind that he is a very popular elected official and is needed in the White House!!
