All advance tickets will be confirmed through PayPal and will be held at the Will Call table at the Kennedy Ceter the night of the performance. The Will Call table will be open two hours prior to the show. If you are interested in sponsorship information, please email info@ellingtonarts.org and someone will contact you. http://www.ellingtonschool.org/Chappelle/chappelle.html David Chappelle was enraptured by stand-up comedy since his days as an elementary school student in Silver Spring, Maryland, and a middle school student in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where his father William was a professor of voice and music at Antioch College. At 14, Chappelle gathered the courage to perform on stage. After his parents' divorce, Chappelle moved to Washington, D.C., with his mother, Yvonne Seon (a Unitarian minister). He spent summers with his father in Yellow Springs and attended and graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts, (reknowned performing arts high school in Washington, DC) where he majored in literary and theatre arts. What is The Ellington Fund? The Ellington Fund was formed in 1978 as a 501©(3) non-profit organization to promote the educational mission and goals of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts. Our goal then – and now – is to enhance the school’s financial resource base and to provide academic and artistic opportunities for its students. The Fund has raised millions of dollars to augment the school’s budget, providing critical opportunities and services for students and faculty.
