Ward 3 Candidate Sam Brooks Admits To Mudslinging At Rival Candidates

 

For a long time, Sam Brooks denied to the media he had any role in the mud slinging against any of his rivals but specifically against Candidate Jonathan Rees and also against another candidate

Brooks accused Rees of killing his first wife and so much more low handed stuff but later deleted it so it could not be used against him as well as the mean spirited things he said about another candidate.

 

Finally Brooks admitted to the Washington Post that he had in fact engaged in mud slinging thus making all he said a lie to the people for so long.

 

IT IS TIME WE JUST SAY NO TO SAM BROOKS AND DEMAND THAT HE WITHDRAW FROM THE WARD 3 RACE.

Somebody named John Capozzi spilled the beans when he openned his mouth in front of others up on Capitol Hill telling people that he, Sam Brooks, Tamela Gordon and a few others were the people behind the phony names badmouthing Candidate Rees on many message boards.

 

Do not know who this Capozzi guy is but he shot off his mouth in front of too many people and what he said was passed on to the right people.

I know it hardly needs pointing out, but this was a post by Jonathan Rees or at his behest.. The whole sordid story is too long to go into, but he's notorious in the local blogosphere for using aliases and posting inaccurate and libelous (and completely undocumented) charges against Brooks and anyone who criticize him for doing so.

 

Google "Jonathan Rees" "Dc Council" for links to this bizarre behavior. Try finding anything similar by Brooks or any other candidate. There aren't any such posts. Also, check out this site's Local politics board for two posts titles "Multiple Alias Disorder" which prove definitively that many of the posts on local boards all came from Rees himself. He'll allege that it's brooks, but can never back it up.

 

 

You'll note that the post he references bears no resemblance to his characterization of it. The title of the post wasn't a "quote" as the author didn't interview Brooks for the piece. Typical. You'll note, too, that there's no substantiation given for the ridiculous story about John Capozzi. Again, typical. The only way any of his posts ever get support is when a new alias, never a person known to exist, appears to allege that "they" also "heard" of the incident.

 

It's pathetic. No, he is not a "decent man." And the people who attempt to counteract his vitriol and disinformation here are not Sam Brooks, or his supporters or any kind of political operative at all. At least I'm not and I'm reasonably sure the others aren't either.

Calling all Good-Government Types

 

Ward 3 council candidate Sam Brooks, who's been involved in a low-key pie-tossing contest with fellow candidate Jonathan Rees, wants to engage in some multilateral disengagement.

 

Both have been saying mean things about each other for months. Rees questions when Brooks moved into the ward and Brooks says Rees may be behind negative web postings.

 

Sam says he will put down his lemon and vanilla pies if Rees and others put down theirs.

 

"We're at the dawn of a critically important campaign." Brooks said in a letter to his rivals. "Let's make certain it's a campaign worthy of the residents of our Ward, and our city."

FACT, NONE OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH SAM BROOKS AS THEY KNOW HE SMEARED KWAME BROWN IN 2003 AND HE STARTED SMEARING TWO OF THE CURRENT CANDIDATES HE IS FACING.

 

CAN EVERYBODY BE SO WRONG THAT SAM BROOKS IS THE SMEAR MASTER WHO STARTED SMEARING EVERYONE BACK IN AUGUST 2005 USING HIS MANY SCREEN NAMES OF BFRANK, JT FRANK, FRANK B, TRUTHSEEKER, FACTCHECKER, GOLDEN GIRL AND more?

 

SAM BROOKS SMEARED KWAME BROWN IN 2003 and he is at it again in the Ward 3 race.
