I do fully believe in being honest with my clients, and that is something I see in you and all of your girls. There are so many stylists trying to make a quick buck, and I can't believe the irresponsible acts of some. I think to be the best extensionist is to fully understand hair and to continue to ask and learn anything and everything you can, but most of all, to be honest with the people who support you and your business. I love this business. I spend endless hours at home prepping hair and researching. This is not only my job, but something I really care about. I give all my clients (and non-clients!) the straight up facts as I know them, good and bad. It is my belief that if the truth turns a person off, they would have never been a happy extension client in the first place. If you tell all and a service is still wanted, you will have many more informed, patient and happy customers. This means a better rep for the entire industry! sandramoten Posted April 4, 2006 Report Share Posted April 4, 2006 Hello, Valencia I'm not in the hair business but I am a business owner, I have a Fashion store in Hearne, Texas and recently put my things online. I respect the idea that instead of having the crab mentality you actually find people in different areas and promote them to bring them business. Here in Hearne, it don't work like that and please if you have time respond to my question I have been open for going on 2 years now and before no one sold fashion purses, clothing, etc. Now in the same small town, instead of promoting me they have acutally started selling the same thing I sell. I've prayed over and over again and don't understand, could you please give me some clarity to this? Once again, I have to give you heavy props to what you and your business is doing.......
