Callie and Sara, meet in NYC, become friends, and over time grow emotionally and sexually attracted to each other. When the two heterosexual women display their affection for each other for the first time in a public park, their homosexual act provokes a disturbed onlooker to violently attack the women, changing their lives forever. Stop Kiss brilliantly captures the deepest of human emotions: love, fear, longing, guilt and pain. It is a story about discovering one's identity and suddenly having it forced to compete with public discrimination and interrogation. Through the buildup of events and a difficult aftermath, Diana Son's Stop Kiss shows us the strength it takes to overcome vulnerability and commit to ourselves.
