Guest Stephen Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 The University of the District of Columbia’s (UDC) College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) is hosting the second “International Urban Sustainability Action Summit” on April 27-29. The theme for this year is "Food and Water; Sustainable Waste Reclamation." The event will bring together experts, grassroots leaders and members of the community who are interested in exchanging information and finding out more about fair and equal access to healthy food options in the urban environment. The Friday session will occur at the UDC Fine Arts Theater and feature a variety of speakers and panelist and a free mini-film festival. The Saturday and Sunday Sessions will feature on-farm demonstrations at Muirkirk Farm in Beltsville, MD.
