Guest Adnan Darwash
Full Circle: US and Saudi Arabia started to finance and arm Al-Qaeda men In 1979, the American CIA launched operation Cyclone dedicating US$millions to the Afghan Mujahideen. Hundreds of special-forces members were recruited to train and to arm among others, 30000 so-called Afghan Arabs led by Saudi millionaire Osama Bin Laden. In addition to US financial and logistic support, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States channeled millions to fund Bin Laden men and to publicize their 'heroic' attacks on the Soviet forces occupying the country at the time. After 9/11, the Al-Qaeda men became US public enemies no. 1 who were chased across the world, detained, tortured or killed in the war on terror that saw Iraq destroyed and occupied and the near bankrupting of America. Thirty three years since the first US involvement with Al-Qaeda, America and Saudi Arabia are currently channeling funds and arms to Al-Qaeda men in order to undermine Iran and to topple certain Arab despots in power, the likes of Qaddafi and Assad. The Americans know that democracies in the Arab world will be anti-American by default, because of US long standing support for Israeli atrocities and for protecting most Arab autocrats, dictators, sultans and emirs. Supporting Islamic fundamentalists to gain power is the most effective way to undermine governments installed by the on-going Arab spring. In Libya, armed bearded NATO 'revolutionaries' do not deny their sympathies to Al-Qaeda in North Africa. If it weren't for the presence of Israel in the area, America would have loved supporting the establishment of a Saudi-style religious governments throughout the Middle East. But the issue of Jerusalem, a red-line to all Muslims, which the Israelis love to cross causing future wars and violence. Guest Luke
The real question is why do we need a United Nations Security Council? Each country should have a right to say what is going with the world. And to vote action or inaction of sanctions. It should be based by population and country. Although, I do think the United Nations should never become a One World Government. It should be a conference confederate body of representatives each government should vote actions by their way political process. We have loss sight of humanity for profit. Guest Thaqalain
For Syria the Saudi geared Clergy announce fatwa, not to kill civilians , in Iraq they proudly claim killing 70 and injuring 500: 2 faces of Islam. In Afghanistan they protest for burning Quran and in Qatar they sit on table to sign the deal with Americans, so enough to understand our real common enemy and common style of terrorism from Kabol to Homs. The same sect who killed Imam Ali A.S and Imam Hussein A.S are involved in day to day killing. http://www.islam21c....by-107-scholars‘Fatwa on Syria’ by 107 scholars Providing scholarly and intellectual discourse which envisages a classical, orthodox, and traditional Islam in contemporary Western society. Islamic State of Iraq based in Al-Anbar, inspired and funded by Saudi Regime, an umbrella group for al Qaeda-linked insurgents in Iraq, has claimed responsibility for recent large attacks on the capital, including a December 22 wave of bombings that killed at least 71 people. They will from somewhere, somehow, find the means to defend themselves as well as begin offensive measures." The SNC has said it will call on the "Friends of Syria" to push for the creation of three humanitarian corridors -- one from Lebanon to Homs, one from Turkey to Idlib and one from Jordan to Deraa.
