The Mystro
When i first truly came to Jesus Christ and made him my LORD and Savoir i was down in Danville, VA and i was Anointed with the HOLY SPIRIT and received various Spiritual Gifts. One of the gifts i received was "Speaking in Tongues". I did not discover this until i came back home to Germantown, MD. and had a dream where this Angel or Gentleman was Speaking in Tongues and trying to teach it to me but he was speaking so fast so in my dream i asked him if he would repeat it back to me in layman's terms and i woke up the next day Speaking in Tongues and was Amazed to say the least. Below is some information and links to explain this further. I pray anybody reading this will accept Christ into their heart and make Him their LORD and Savoir. GOD Bless and enjoy... Definition: "Speaking in Tongues" is one of the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit referred to in 1 Corinthians 12:4-10. "Glossolalia" is the most commonly accepted term for "speaking in tongues." It comes from the Greek words meaning "tongues" or "languages," and "to speak." Although not exclusively, "speaking in tongues" is primarily practiced by Pentecostal Christians. Glossolalia is the "prayer language" of Pentecostal churches. Some Christians who speak in tongues believe they are speaking in an existing language. Most believe they are uttering a heavenly tongue. Some Pentecostal denominations teach that speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Although confusing even for some believers who practice speaking in tongues, many Pentecostal denominations teach three distinctions or types of "speaking in tongues:" Tongues as a supernatural outpouring and sign to unbelievers (Acts 2:11). Tongues for the strengthening of the church - requires an interpretation (1 Corinthians 14:27). Tongues as a private prayer language (Romans 8:26). The following verses in the Bible reference "speaking in tongues" - Mark 16:17; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:11; Acts 10:46; Acts 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12:10; 1 Corinthians 12:28; 1 Corinthians 12:30; 1 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Corinthians 13:8; 1 Corinthians 14:5-29. Also Known As: Tongues; Prayer Language; Praying in Tongues. Examples: In the book of Acts on the Day of Pentecost, Peter witnessed both Jews and Gentiles being filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. Abe23
I was blessed to experienced speaking in tongues few years ago when I joined a charismatic community. I can't explain the feeling when I did not. I was not even aware that I'm doing and speaking it, I just let my tongue move and talk.. It's an encounter with God and holy spirit that I will not forget.
RAPHEAL
The speaking of tongues, where in the most of the places, specially the independent churches, misunderstood otherway to say, they mislead the people in the name of tongues and the Holy Spirit. Everybody who have faith in Jesus they must realize. And the catholic church they never take interest to explain about the tongues to the people. Most religious people once they get ordained, they aim for some good administration post. I found so many fathers target is to become, superiors to the congregation, or VG post and even the talented priest who have support by caste, the going on trying for the post of Bishop, with the support of the their caste wise Bishop support. So they never have the eagerness to sit in the presence of the Holy Spirit, and to have the defenitions between the line of the scripture. Regarding the TONGUES YOU HAVE TWO KINDS. One is to speak with God the creator, may be sometimes it becomes as praising Him. It has no sense to the human knowledge. It is only the sound, and every one who speaks don't understand the meaning, he may not be aware of where he is and what he speaks at that time. If anyone who look at them talking tongues, something that they don't understand, or don't have any meanings and message or don't belong to any language. But it is sure that the he is relating with God and the man who speaks prolongs, with unimaginable language, which the man who speaks also doesn't knows. But it happens only by the showering of the Holy Spirit. It is not manual but it is spiritual. It does not mean that we have to dance vigorously, or to clap the hands and shout. The Holy Spirit who showers the grace knows that everything should be done with in order. But do you know what happens in the Church depended on the Pastor, the play the music instruments so loudly, that make the people to feel vigorously and they do as they like, as the Hindus do in their temples playing a kind of Urumi Melams, Defenitly the sound touches everybodys feeling so that most of the Hindus are converted because we give the same eruption we give them in the name of Jesus Christ and lot of promotions are given in the church those people who are erupted for their music and most significant model for the tongue.,. But we cannot say that they dance and talk in tongues with the power of the Holy Spirit. They need some politeness ..And it is very easy for them to shout in a language which has no meaning. For that only Paul apostle says' Let those who want to speak in tongues let them go alone into their room and close the door and talk" But the second kind of tongues is we can speak in a language which exists in the world, but the man who speaks do not know. But if the Holy spirit urges somebody to speak in a language, which the man does not know, but to give witness there will be a man who knows the language and gives the meaning for the man who speaks in the tongue in the language which he does not know. and everybody there also knows that. Then it will be a witness for the people who have gathered there. This is also a Tongue but is there any church talk about this among the people, and does it happens in any church who insists on the Grace of the Holy Spirit and Tongues. I don't think any church is visible to this. Every church is commercialized to convince the people and collect the money. The another tongue is prophecy by the grace of the Holy spirit. Here no problem of language. The man who prophecy speaks in the language to the people in their own language, but reveals the will of God and foretells things going to happen in the name of God. It is true when a man prophecy he will represent God and will say GOD SAYS. So EVERY BODY WHOEVER READ THE BIBLE THEY MUST READ AND UNDER STAND WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Nothing is left to reveal to us. Don't depend on any Pastors, they will lead you to the eternal fire not life.
Guest One Way
Peace be with you Rapheal. I am learning about the Holy Spirit now. My current opinion as that the Holy Spirit knows what we planning and hopes that we make the right decision. But, if we accept the Holy Spirit we need to respect the power we receive. For it is told in the Book of Acts that Holy Spirit can take the lives of those that are not mindful of their actions.
