If you want to check out a place rife with tourists, well kept grounds, and magnificent views, the Jefferson Memorial has it all. I just visited today(Friday) and it was amazing. It was a cool 80 degrees and the sun was shining, offering splendid views of the Tidal Basin as well as the Washington Monument. They even have paddle boats if you want go with that special someone. The Jefferson Memorial cornerstone was set into place by none other than President Franklin Roosevelt and is truly an important monument recognizing the work of Thomas Jefferson, our third president and founding father.
