Guest Jason
Dr. Frederic Zenhausern, a biochemist and physicist, and the director of the Center of Applied Nano Biologoical Science and Medicine at the University of Arizona, has worked in DNA analysis for years. He’s developed a lightweight machine that streamlines the process of DNA analysis, but says that given the stakes of the mission in Pakistan, it’s likely that the most traditional and well-established methods of DNA analysis would have been used. This process involves several steps, and serious equipment. The “lab bench” that could accommodate all the equipment necessary for accomplishing the analysis would be roughly 30 feet long; the combined weight of the equipment would be several hundred pounds. The first step for the U.S. officials on the scene would be to obtain a DNA sample—either a swab of the cheek or a sample of blood drawn from bin Laden’s body. http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2011-05-04/death-of-bin-laden-how-dna-swiftly-identified-his-body#

Luke_Wilbur
A friend of mine sent me this. While I do not mean to imply that they be thought of as equally, well, evil -- here's an odd bit of trivia for you today - Exactly 66 yearsbefore Osama bin Laden, Hitler was announced dead to the world - May 1st, 1945. Oh and, Bush did his "Mission Accomplished" speech on May 1st, 2003. And, if all that is not odd enough - The Illuminati, an Enlightenment-erasecret society is said to have been founded on May 1st, 1776. I wonder what purpose 0501 serves to a secret society?
