Whaler Posted October 22, 2003 Report Share Posted October 22, 2003 This is the official calling out for the "Wake the Dead Party" at Sign of the Whale in Falls Church Va. on Friday October 31.....Halloween! 4 bands playing from 8:00pm-1:30am. That's 5 and a half hours of music. Not to mention prizes for best costume, worst costume, and best carved jack-o-lantern. That's right, bring a carved pumpkin and we are going to display them all around and light them up, best one wins. Lights will be done by Lights fantastic, with double projections and the entire bar done in black lights. Here is the line up for the evening: 8:00pm-9:00pm Jebus 9:10pm-10:10pm Karma Flo 10:20pm-11:50pm Walnut Grove Band 12:am-1:30am The Hip Replacement This is a great set of bands playing to Wake the Dead. Jebus rocks, Karma Flo is an instrumental improv trio (bad ass), Walnut Grove gets right on down, and The Hip Replacement puts that jazzrockfunksoul back in ya (one of the final 3 shows, so don't miss out). Tickets are $5 in advance, and $10 at the door. Get your tickets at the Whale or from the bands who will be spooking you that evening. Advance tickets round out to less than $1/hr, and the door price is less than $2/hr. Half price appetizers between 11pm-1:00am as always.
