Guest Vince
It's hard to believe it's been six months since we began this journey to restore character, integrity and leadership to the mayor's office. But today's the day. The polls are already open but close at 8 p.m. That means you have just hours to send a message that our city is no longer going to tolerate the kind of fiscal mismanagement, contempt for the public and clear cronyism that have been the hallmarks of Adrian Fenty's time in office. It is time for a change. If you're not sure where your polling place is, click here and enter your address. I decided to run for Mayor because I believe passionately that we can build a city where all its residents are able to take advantage of the opportunities contained within. All our kids deserve world-class schools. Our families deserve safe neighborhoods. Our neighbors deserve the opportunity to get good jobs. And our taxpayers deserve a Mayor who is accountable to them, not to his frat brothers. As exciting as the polls published in the last few weeks have been, they'll mean nothing if people don't go and cast their ballots. More than 20,000 people took advantage of our new early-voting opportunities and if you're one of them, let me offer my thanks. If you haven't voted yet, please make sure to do so today. We expect this to be a very close election and every vote counts. Thank you so much for your support throughout this campaign. I hope you'll take it one step further and cast your ballot for me today. Thank you, Vince P.S. If you need a ride to your polling place, we have volunteers eager to help.
