Harry Knox, appointed by President Obama last March to a White House advisory council, lambasted the pope and Catholic bishops in a gay newspaper last month for their opposition to same-sex marriage.

A representative of a national gay rights group who was appointed by President Obama to a White House advisory council this week once described Pope Benedict XVI and some Catholic bishops as "discredited leaders" because of their opposition to same-sex marriage.

Harry Knox, director of the religion and faith program at Human Rights Campaign, a Washington-based gay rights group, lambasted the prelates in a gay newspaper last month for their support of Proposition 8, the successful November ballot measure that made same-sex marriage unconstitutional in California.

Why is anyone upset because the Pope is accused of killing people in the name of Jesus by not supporting the distribution of condoms?

 

The Papacy has killed and tortured beyond your wildest imagination. Millions! And all in the name of Jesus. Do you not know about the Inquisition, the Crusades, the Reformation?

 

I am very suprized to learn that people like Bill O'Reilly are saying that the comments made by Harry Knox have gone too far by insinuating that the a Pope might kill in the name of Jesus.
