Guest Christine Real de Azua
This morning Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and Ranking Republican Charles Grassley (R-IA) announced agreement on a new energy tax proposal. The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) issued the following statement from Gregory Wetstone, Senior Director of Governmental & Public Affairs: “On behalf of the American Wind Energy Association and the millions of Americans who support clean renewable energy, I want to thank Senators Max Baucus (D-MT) and Charles Grassley (R-IA) for their leadership in developing this important bipartisan proposal. We join a long list of organizations from across the political spectrum in supporting this long term extension for clean energy tax credits. We look forward to working closely with the Senate Finance Committee, and Senate colleagues on both sides of the aisle, in the effort to move this critically important measure forward into law before Congress leaves for the election.”
