Hello Valencia: I think I received an email from one of them.. not sure. I thought it was you though because both of your names begin with a "V". Am I correct? Anywho, I am looking for someone in San Diego who won't charge me a small fortune. But, if you can offer training to those of us w/o knowledge.. please advise. Thank you... but don't worry about all of that.. its ok as long as you know you are doing the right thing.

Valencia ..what are you thoughts on Microchet? Do you know of any stylist that does this process?

I hadn't heard of this method before now but I must say I am impressed so far. I will continue to research this method and keep everyone posted. Thanks for the heads up....

Can you go swimming with the fushion hair in place?

With proper care fusion will not damage your hair and yes you can swim with the system in place....I have several clients that enjoyed having fusion while on vacation, the wash and go textures are great for the summer....

Thank You for your response

Just wanted to let you ladies know that my custom textures are done using Remy Hair Today hair so you know you are still getting Top Of The Line hair. I want to make it clear that once the hair is processed it is no longer virgin hair but it is still Remy Hair meaning all the cuticles are still in tact so there is still no tangling. I have worked hard and long to perfect this and I am VERY proud and excited....

The texture that I have on my online photo ablum is one of many (More pictures to come SOON) I can make the texture as tight or loose as you want, you can even do ringlets and most important you can flat-iron or press the hair straight and it will revert back to the custom texture after a shampoo, EVERYTIME!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have worn and tested the hair and I loved it....

Don't forget to check it out....Online Photo Ablum, under Custom Made Textures!!!!!!! Link Below....

Our Appt on June 7th... (I sent you an email, I think)

I’m so excited to visit with you on the 7th. I have a question about how you should see my hair. Right now,

I’ve got a full head weave. My hair hasn’t been permed for about 4.5 months. Should I perm my hair before I see you on the 7th, or should I wait until after the fusion and then have it permed? Please let me know. I have an appointment to take the weave out soon and need to tell the stylist whether to perm it or just old fashioned press and curl.

Thanks!!!

  • Would it be better for you to see my hair in its half permed state? Perhaps its better to put fusion on my natural hair???

Please let me know. I have an appointment to take the weave out soon and need to tell the stylist whether to perm it or just old fashioned press and curl until I see you (and maybe Reneice???)

I am a fusion specialist, I would be delighted to answer any questions on the subject of strand by strand hair fusion technique.

It is a hair weaving technique that is undetectable. You can perm and color your hair with the system in place.

IT IS WONDERFUL!!

Valencia,

If you do fusion with keratin what can you use to remove it that won't cause damage?

Thanks,

K

Please remember the process you use to remove the bonds is as important as the product used. I use pure acetone (not nail polish remover). Make sure you apply to the bond only. The best way is to use a sturdy spray bottle. Pour the acetone into the spray bottle and spray the bond (direct) once sprayed crush the bond using tweezers or needle nosed pliers, the bond should crystalize into a powder form.

I always condition my hair after removing the bonds (DRY HAIR) apply the conditioner and comb through your hair with a wide tooth comb to remove the dead hair and any tangles. Keep in mind that hair sheds on a daily basis and like braids fusion bonds trap that hair until the bond is removed. I love hair mayonaise.

I hope this helps

Thank You for your response

I feel your pain....This is why I have worked so hard looking for the best hair possible. Remy Hair Today hair is wonderful and versatile. My clientele is every nationality imaginable and I love it. I also have natural clients who are hard to match (with great quality hair) I now offer custom textures and because Remy Hair Today hair is pure virgin hair I can start from scratch and not worry that I am working with hair that has previously been destroyed. I tell you what, snap a few pictures of your hair and email them to me and we will work from there....If you have an extensionist that you trust we can do a custom or order an existing texture that match and hand tipp the hair for you....

Hi...I was just wondering is there ANYONE in the Maryland area that can do fusion, strand by strand?????? I'm looking to have it done when I come on leave from Germany being that no one does it over here! If there is someone who is actually available and willing to fit me in to their schedule, I would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!! :D I been searching and searching and either they are busy, or no response back to my request or from what I've seen the clients pics have been crappy. I will be coming home the 6th of June..but if anyone could email me back, like I said would be great. Thanks in advance and everyone have a blessed day!! :P linnea_k_d@hotmail.com

I have a comment...

Valencia is Correct regarding the Polywax-Ext. I am a previous customer to Abelyne Hair in VA. I thought they were the only ones who could do the technique, or at least thats what they tell you! This stuff takes your hair out! Not to mention if you have ethnic hair thats dry you cannot use oil with the polywax. They looked nice and didn't take long to put in, but they made me really angry when I paid them to take it out, and they pulled my hair out. The girls actually sprayed something on the wax and combed and pulled my hair out in handfulls. It took me a year to grow my hair length back. Horrible experience!

Hi Ladies,

I am a Chicago native and enjoy reading the threads that are posted on your website. I am a student learning the different ways of adding length to my own as well as others. I am new to the the Fusion technique and wanted to know how far up on the crown of the head do you place the fused hair? The top should not have fused hair because it would be visable right????? Please let me know making inquiries about this and since you are certainly a well informed professional I am sure you can help me alot. Thanks for starting your thread ****** THANX****

I finally figured out how to post on this board! I've had my hair done twice by Valencia and Raneice and I absolutely love it! I don't have time to go into my hair sob story before I found this discussion board but I will say that Valencia and Raneice are life savers. Valencia will answer any and all of your questions about the fusion technique before she even touches your hair and Raneice works wonders with her scissors to cut and style your new 'do. I'm currently and cheerleader for an NFL team and had my hair done before we took our team pictures. Once those come out, I will post a link so you all can see how everything turned out.

For now, here are pics I took once I got home on the day my hair was just done.

Great question....It depends on the hairstyle and the length of the hair. The shorter the hair the further up you go, for longer hair just go up toward the crown enough to thicken, lengthen and blend. If the client wants full layers you need to make sure the extensions are full enough from root to end to handle that. When I first started working with fusion bonds I was also nervous that I was taking the bonds up to close to the crown BUT I now know that with proper placement, they will not show and in the past I almost allways had to go back and fill in the crown because it didn't blend after a day or so after the use of oils or the ends appeared too thin because I didn't apply enough hair to balance from root to the ends. It is trial and error my Dear....don't be afraid to add too much....You can allways remove them if they show.

THE HAIR SHOW IS STILL ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just have to rearange a few things, you ladies know I can't do anything half way I want the best of the best. As many of you know I have started a few new projects that I want to launch at the show and I am also trying to plan my wedding so be patient it will happen and most important.... THANK YOU for asking....I Love It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Valencia,

Is there anyone in Cincinnati,Ohio....Im sure this is gonna cost and of coarse-I KNOW its worth it if you suffer from Alopecia and just have thin hair in general..Im 26 this year and have been glueing my hair in since Ive been 16,so thats 10 years!Sure I've tried to get professional help...1 ending in ,me having to take them to court because they charged me 1,500(my income tax) for a wig,2nd time I got a sew in,and she didnt even braid my hair..she just wrapped a big string around my head, and then lastly..I ordered a lace unit, and when I finally got it,she sent it with the wrong color lace and no baby hairs to cover the lace.

This Fusion seems to be perfect for my problem, but WOW! starting at $400,thats not gonna cut into my disablity hard!!! Dont want to but I guess I better learn to do this technique by myself by reading online and pictures, because I dont wanna walk around with bald spots...this hair problem has lowered my self esteem to the max!!!!now my 4 year old boy has alopecia..yes thankfully hes a boy,but ever time I look at him I fill like where did I go wrong?????whats wrong with MY SCALP????!!!!

Alopecia is a tough one, but remember it is hard to fix a problem if you don't know the cause. I would see a dermatologist if I where you. I am a hairstylist/make-up artist so I know we only deal with topical solutions and from time to time alopecia problems stem from below the skin. There is no cure for alopecia but a dermatologist can help control the problem. Fusion bonds can add weight to the hair and that is the last thing you need right now so PLEASE don't attempt do it yourself methods. Proper bond size, placement, maintanence and removal are so important and you don't want to make a rough situation worse....

Thank You

Valencia

OK Ladies -

It has been exactly one week since I've had my hair done by Valencia and Reniece. Words cannot describe how GREAT this is. I can only echo what so many others on this board have said about Valencia and Reniece. Their work is fabulous!!! I'm moving out of town for a few months but I've already booked my appointment for August and I'm going to fly back up here, schedule meetings and handle other business around my hair appointment(s). Sound crazy? Maybe so, but I'm just love my hair!

There's been absolutely no shedding. The weave blends in perfectly with my hair. I'm not any good at all with my hair and I usually wear it back in a ponytail. I just pulled it back today and damn, even the ponytail looks good.

I will post pics just as soon as I can so you can see what I mean.

THANKS VALENCIA AND RENIECE!!!
