Besides high interest rates, housing cost that the average American not afford or buy a home, low wages high unemployment rates, outsourcing. No control on the insurance companies where people are losing their coverage because of a sickness that could not be prevented, drug companies, and a FDA taking to long to approve medications that will work now for the people. The time is now for a major change, and it is up to the people to make it. We have to look through all the bull out there to find the truth and go with out minds and heart to make the best decision we can. McCain was asked a simple question during an interview with Politico.com. Nothing tricky about it. No curveball this: How many houses do you and Mrs. McCain have? "I think," said McCain, "uh, I'll have my staff get to you. I'll try to tell you about that." Huh? Most Americans would certainly be able to answer that question, especially the ones facing foreclosure or mortgages that are ratcheting up. McCain's staff did get back as promised, saying the number was "at least four." Again, few Americans are in the four-house category. Even more embarrassing is that McCain and his wife, Cindy, own at least seven homes worth in the neighborhood of $13 million. Scattered across the country. Many Americans are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure, but John McCain has a different problem: Remembering how many houses he owns. I guess that's the new definition of filthy rich: Not knowing how many estates you own. We have to keep in mind that McCain is older than dirt -- it shouldn't be surprising that he doesn't know how many homes he owns. Senator Mc Cain is from the old stock of Americans who know how to do a job and get it done. I really don't think the stress of Presidency will effect him in the least. Governor Palin from what I have read to date sounds like she will be a good Vice President, and is not of the "good ole boy" network. This is the 21st century and anyone can be President. The only thing that is getting to me is that some people are voting for this or that person because of race or gender. How about voting for a person for what they will do for the country, and the American people. And not because they are this or that color, or this or that gender, or has a good personia. I want someone in office that will lower my taxes, give the jobs back to the American people, find alternate energy, get raid of the pork belly, downsize the government, and give the American people a fighting chance to be able to support their families wihout worries on where the next pay check is coming from. To be blunt; What Governor Sarah Palin really will do is to help McCain Clean up the Congress, and the Senate "though both houses are not really going to be enjoying it", and she will learn about foreign affairs real fast. With Barack Obama considering that he is a Virgin when it comes to National, as well as International Experience there really is nothing more to type on him. He owes everyone. Barack is more tied in with special interest groups than any other candidate "Past, and Present". <Ya know it’s funny, with Barack it WILL be politics as usual, and with McCain we will have to work with each other "He won’t leave us any other choice". McCain didn't get the title of Maverick for kicks. Oh!! and wait till you see the next link of the month, it will be highly informative for all of you. For me? Not really. Obama would give larger tax cuts to low- and moderate-income households and pay some of the cost by raising taxes on high-income taxpayers. In contrast, McCain would cut taxes across the board and give the biggest cuts to the highest-income households. Obama would raise revenues by about $600 billion over the decade, while McCain would lose $600 billion. But choice of baseline doesn’t change how the proposals would affect the budget picture; without substantial cuts in government spending, both plans would sharply increase the national debt. Including interest costs, Obama’s tax plan would boost the debt by $3.5 trillion by 2018. McCain’s plan would increase the debt by $5 trillion. McCain would lift after-tax incomes an average of about 3 percent, or $1,400 annually, for middle-income taxpayers by 2012. But, in sharp contrast to Obama, he would cut taxes for those in the top 1% by more than $125,000, raising their after-tax income an average 9.5 percent. For too long, we have asked too much of too few - with the result that many service personnel are on their second, third and even fourth tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. John McCain believes that the answer to these challenges is not to roll back our overseas commitments. The size and composition of our armed forces must be matched to our nation's defense requirements. As requirements expand in the global war on terrorism so must our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard be reconfigured to meet these new challenges. John McCain thinks it is especially important to increase the size of the Army and Marine Corps to defend against the threats we face today. The only way John McCain can expand our forces is to reinstate the DRAFT!!! Many of you might be too young to understand the Vietnam Lotteries and the Draft. The first lottery drawing since 1942 was held on December 1, 1969, at Selective Service National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This event determined the order of call for military induction during calendar year 1970, that is, for registrants born between January 1, 1944, and December 31, 1950. Reinstitution of the lottery was a change from the "draft the oldest man first" method, which had been the determining method for deciding order of call. The last lottery drawing held February 2, 1972, determined the order in which men born in 1953 were called to report for induction into the military. A draft is largely a last resort enacted only when the country's demand for military power is larger than the pool of eligible volunteer recruits. Recruitment funding has increased 50 percent since 2001, but enlistment numbers are declining sharply. This begs the question of where John McCain is going to get his bigger army. Here might be glimpse of what is to come... In Las Crucas, New Mexico, a woman asked McCain about the "horrible conditions" that veterans often see when return from combat. Here's the last few sentences: My son is an officer in the Air Force, I'm a vet., and I was raised in a military family. And I think it's a sorry state of affairs. When we have illegal aliens; having a medic-aid card that can access specialists, top physicians, the best of medical, and our vets can't even get to a doctor. And these are the people that we tied yellow ribbons for and Bush patted on the back. If we don't re-enact the draft, I don't think we'll have anyone to chase Bin Laden to the gates of Hell. The culture of corruption and dishonesty that has hurt America so badly the last eight years is playing an even larger role in McCain's campaign. Just this past week, John McCain hired a Washington super-lobbyist to fill positions in a potential McCain-Palin White House. At least 177 lobbyists have been on McCain's campaign staff, and apparently he hopes to run the White House the same way. Also this week, the McCain campaign continued to repeat a number of outrageous lies, even after watchdogs in the media called them "shamelessly misleading," "thoroughly dishonest," and "a toxic mix of lies and double-speak." They also lied about the crowd size at one of their rallies -- reporting 23,000 attendees when there were only 8,000. McCain's campaign -- run on lobbyists and lies -- is no match for this unprecedented grassroots movement. More than 2,500,000 people have stepped up to own a piece of this campaign. But if we want change, we must continue to grow this movement and put an end to these dishonorable political tactics. And we have just 50 days left to do it. Then by the time the elections do come around every one is a little confused on who said what that there may be votes cast for the wrong person who really can make a change.
