Guest CAPS Fan
Alexander Ovechkin had two more goals and an assist last night as the Washington Capitals beat (finally) the Pittsburg Penguins last night. That's 12 goals and 7 assists (19 points) in his last 10 games. UPDATE: Alexander Ovechkin now leads the NHL in goals. Right now, Ovechkin has the Capitals only 3 points away from leading their division. That's incredible considering they were the worst team (point-wise) in the league two months ago and were nowhere close to the playoffs. Now the Caps are one of the hottest teams in the NHL, just ask Ottawa. Looks like Ovechkin is playing better after signing that contract. Ed_Palmedo
Why do the CAPS get no love from DC??? None of their games sellout and they are playing some of the most exciting hockey in the entire NHL.
Ed_Palmedo
Another game, another quality night (and win) for Alexander the Great and the Washington Capitals! He didn't score this time but did register assists on both goals. Actually, one goal was a deflection of one of Ovechkin's slap shots while the other goal was a rebound from another shot. Can you believe it, the Washington Capitals are within a point of Southeast Division lead!
kburban
It really is astounding how such a young player can be making so much loot!! Ovechkin is the man right now in Hockey. Even during the Pittsburg earlier in the week he made one of the game winning shots at the end of the game, and he was 0-2 in tie breaker shots until then.. He is really showing us what he is paid for. The CAPS are alive!
Ed_Palmedo
Another game winning goal (8 for the year) for Ovechkin and the Caps. I CANNOT BELIEVE THE CAPS ARE LEADING THE DIVISION WITH A GAME IN HAND!!! Bruce Boudreau should win Coach of The Year and Alexander Ovechkin has to win the Hart Trophy. PERIOD!!! Ed_Palmedo
The Washington Capitals play the New York Islanders tonight is a must-win game for the Caps. After tonight the team heads to Carolina to play the first place Hurricanes. The Caps currently trail Carolina in the standings by 3 points. Alex the Great, wake up. The team needs a big game, and week for that matter, from you. The Southeast Division is so tight (weak could be another word to describe it) that a five game slide can have any team in last place.
