Guest Augustine
Opponents of the District's proposed casino referendum have a big weekend ahead. They're beginning the review of more than 50,000 signatures gathered over the past few days by initiative backers. And the first step was to spend over $700 to buy a copy of the more than 3,800 separate petition sheets. Opponents have 10 days to review the petitions. They'll be checking whether the circulators were District residents over 18 years-old. They'll also be looking for evidence of fraud among the individual signatures. The review and an expected challenge hearing before the Board of Elections and Ethics will determine whether the measure is on the ballot this November. The casino would have up to 3,500 video lottery terminals. There would also be a hotel, shops and restaurants.

Johnny09
There's no way they would ever put a casino in the district. That is just a fact.
