Sackler Gallery and Freer Gallery of Art is seeking volunteers for the upcoming exhibition, In the Beginning: Bibles Before the Year 1000. This landmark exhibition is presented in association with the Bodleian Library, University of Oxford. It will present over 70 of the earliest biblical artifacts in existence, many on display for the first time in the United States Time Commitment • five hours a week between October 21, 2006 and January 7, 2007. • orientation – early October • exhibition training - Wednesday, October 18 • walk-throughs of the exhibition and museum - week of October 23.
